Who we are
ERST GmbH, based in Salching, Germany, develops and markets product and system solutions for demanding applications. The company focuses on surfaces, hygiene, moisture, material protection, indoor air and functional coating technologies.
ERST stands for products that are not viewed in isolation, but rather integrated into clearly defined application concepts. Individual technologies are transformed into marketable product lines: clearly communicated, documented in their application, and scalable for trade, industry, professional users, and international distributors.
ERST's standards are deliberately high: technical solutions should not sound louder, but clearer. Products are explained in terms of their function, claims are clearly substantiated, and partners are equipped with the fundamentals they need for professional marketing and application.

ERST forms the central product, system, IP and brand platform. Here, product lines are developed, technical documentation is maintained, quality standards are defined, training concepts are established, and partner structures for national and international markets are prepared.
ERST ex GmbH
ERSTex is the operational service and application unit for practical implementation on-site. Its role encompasses analysis, property assessment, professional application, documented execution standards, reference projects, and the foundation for qualified partner and franchise models.
ERST APAC
ERST APAC is the regional sales and partner structure for Southeast Asia. The Singapore-registered company is part of ISDN Holding and serves as a sales partner for market development in Southeast Asia.
Development and history
Today's ERST GmbH originated from a specialised product approach and has gradually developed into a broader product and system platform for hygiene, protection, functional surfaces, moisture management and indoor air.
Since 2017
The company's history began with E.R.S.T. Project GmbH, with a focus on mould-protection coatings and initial product solutions for mould-affected surfaces. In subsequent years, we expanded our portfolio to include additional coating, hygiene, surface, and indoor air systems, including nomobac, resistobac, and erstoair. Additionally, erstotherm and erstoplast were added to our product range as distribution products and system extensions for thermal surface optimisation and moisture protection.
2020
Establishment of the international sales structure ERST APAC in Singapore. ERST APAC is a company registered in Singapore, part of ISDN Holding, and serves as a sales partner for the South-East Asian market. This created an important building block for international market development and regional scaling.
2024
The company was renamed ERST GmbH and further developed into the central platform for product development, product lines, technical documentation, IP, brand management, training and partner structures. In parallel, SchimmelPapst GmbH was established as an operational service unit for the application of ERST products in buildings.
2025
SchimmelPapst was renamed ERSTex to position the operational service brand more broadly and appropriately. The new name better reflects the service areas of moisture, mould, indoor air and thermal comfort and replaces the previous positioning, which was strongly focused on mould.
ERST stands for product and system solutions that contribute to the protection, stabilisation and long-term usability of buildings, materials and sensitive environments.
