About erstosan

Biocide-free formulated hygiene protection for microbe-inhibiting surface care

erstosan is the microbe-inhibiting care component within the ersto-Hygienesystem. The product was developed for suitable surfaces in hygiene-sensitive interior, technical and operational areas.

After application, erstosan forms a thin, microbe-inhibiting protective film on suitable surfaces. This supports hygienic surface stability and can help reduce rapid recontamination of the surface.

erstosan is suitable for regular care applications, spray applications and cold fogging in approved, hygienically sensitive areas of application.

Application & Application Guidance

erstosan can be used as a single component or within the ersto-Hygienesystem following a thorough cleaning with erstoclean.

erstoclean + erstosan

For regular hygiene protection treatments and microbe-inhibiting surface care.

erstosan in hard-to-reach areas

For technical zones, ventilation areas, plant areas or awkwardly shaped areas that are only accessible to a limited extent manually.

erstosan + erstoshield

For combined applications where suitable surfaces need to be regularly maintained and critical moisture-exposed areas require additional long-term stabilisation.

Application note

The surface to be treated should be cleaned as thoroughly as possible before application. Ideally, preparation should be carried out with erstoclean.

Erstosan is then applied to the suitable surface. In hard-to-access areas, application can also be carried out using spraying or fogging techniques, depending on the technical requirements.

For spray and fogging applications, the product-specific protective measures and application instructions must be observed. Appropriate personal protective equipment, particularly respiratory protection, should be used in accordance with the application and the relevant technical product documentation.

During regular cleaning processes, it should be taken into account that the applied protective film can be mechanically reduced or removed. For areas with consistently high humidity, we recommend considering a supplementary treatment with erstoshield should be considered.
