About erstomould ACTIVE
erstomould ACTIVE is the established variant within the erstomould product family.

The product is based on the proven ACTIVE product technology. The functional coating was developed for the treatment and protection of surfaces affected by or at risk of mould growth.

For Remediation and Preventive Protection

erstomould ACTIVE can be used – with suitable substrate conditions and proper preparation – both in cases of existing mould contamination and for preventive use.

This makes ACTIVE suitable for applications where the proven erstomould technology is to be used within a professional mould-protection system.

What Distinguishes erstomould ACTIVE?

Proven ACTIVE technology
ACTIVE is the established product variant of the erstomould system line.
Direct integration of stressed surfaces

Given suitable substrate conditions, the coating can be applied directly to mould-affected surfaces. Existing structures are integrated into the coating system, thus protecting the treated surface.

For renovation and prevention
ACTIVE is not exclusively intended for acutely contaminated surfaces, but can also be used preventively on surfaces at risk of mould growth.

Function instead of purely optical overlay
erstomould ACTIVE is not a typical renovation paint. Its primary focus is on functional treatment and surface protection.

Part of an overall concept
In cases of recurring mould growth, moisture, thermal bridges, ventilation and other possible causes should always be evaluated.

erstomould PURE or ACTIVE

The essential difference does not lie in the timing of the application.
Both PURE and ACTIVE can be used preventively and on surfaces with existing mould contamination.
The key difference lies in the product concept and active component:

ACTIVE: Established ACTIVE variant within the erstomould system line.

PURE: Advanced variant with a non-biocidal active component.

Which variant is best suited to a specific property should be determined on the basis of the substrate, area of application and specific requirements.

Notice

Mould growth usually has an underlying cause. Therefore, a permanently successful treatment should always take into account the building's environmental conditions.

This includes in particular:

  • Moisture and moisture ingress

  • Thermal bridges and cold surfaces

  • insufficient air exchange

  • Building-physics characteristics

  • recurring condensation

erstomould ACTIVE can thus be used as a functional component of a comprehensive mould-protection and remediation strategy.
