About erstoalgae Balance
Highly vapour-permeable silicone-resin facade paint

erstoalgae BALANCE is a facade coating for normal facade and weather conditions. This silicone resin facade paint combines high water-vapour permeability with water-repellent properties and a pronounced beading effect.

The coating supports balanced moisture behaviour of the facade: moisture can escape from the substrate, while the surface reduces moisture absorption from the outside. As a result, erstoalgae Balance contributes to facade surfaces that remain well-maintained and visually stable in the long term.

What is the coating suitable for?

For facades requiring vapour permeability and moisture regulation.

erstoalgae Balance is particularly suitable for facade surfaces where high water-vapour permeability is required.. The coating is formulated for use on mineral substrates, plasters, sound, matt dispersion coatings and synthetic resin plasters.

Thanks to its beading effect, erstoalgae Balance promotes the runoff of rainwater on the coated surface. At the same time, the facade remains vapour-permeable and can release moisture from the substrate.

What are typical areas of application?

erstoalgae BALANCE is suitable for:

  • mineral substrates and plasters

  • Renovation coatings on firmly adhering, matte dispersion coatings

  • load-bearing synthetic resin plasters

  • Concrete surfaces after substrate testing

  • Masonry and suitable facade surfaces

  • New and existing facades

  • Listed buildings subject to a project-specific assessment

  • Facades with normal weather exposure

  • Facades with high requirements for water-vapour permeability

Processing in the system

For a consistently high-quality coating result, the substrate must be dry, firm, sound, and clean. Algae and fungal growth, moss, dirt, loose particles, and unsound old coatings must be professionally removed before coating.

Depending on the substrate, a suitable primer is required to regulate absorbency and strengthen the surface. The primer can be diluted with a maximum of 5% water. This is followed by at least two undiluted topcoats.

Application is by brushing, rolling, or airless spraying. Do not apply in direct sunlight, rain, frost, or on unsuitable surfaces.
